Legal ยท Disclosure

How this publication makes money.

Written plainly, because a disclosure nobody can understand is not a disclosure.

Version 1.0 · Last updated 13 August 2026 · Applies to every page

1. The disclosure itself

Some links on this publication that take you to a reviewed casino brand are commercial affiliate links. If you follow one and go on to open an account, the operator may pay us a commission, usually calculated as a share of revenue or as a one-off fee.

This costs you nothing. You are not charged more, you do not receive worse terms, and no offer available to you is reduced because you arrived through us. Commercial links are marked with the standard sponsored relationship attribute so that they are machine-readable as well as visible to you.

2. Why we take the money

Because the alternative is worse. Testing a brand properly — opening accounts, depositing real money, timing withdrawals to the hour, probing support at unsociable times, re-checking the register every quarter — costs time and money. Affiliate commission is how that is paid for. The alternatives are display advertising, which would clutter the pages and hand your browsing to an ad network, or charging readers, which would put the licence checks behind a paywall. We prefer this.

3. What the money does not buy

We want to be specific, because vague assurances are worthless:

  • It does not buy a score. Scores are set from our six published criteria, from testing carried out before any commercial discussion takes place.
  • It does not buy a position. Nobody pays to appear higher on the reviews page or on the home page.
  • It does not buy coverage. Being willing to pay a commission does not get a brand reviewed. Failing our licence check keeps it out regardless.
  • It does not buy edits. No operator sees, previews or approves a review before publication. None has the right to request a change afterwards, other than by pointing out a factual error, which we would correct for anyone.
  • It does not remove the drawbacks. Every review carries a "what does not work" list. It has never been shortened for commercial reasons and it never will be.

4. How the separation is enforced

  • Testing and scoring are completed and recorded before commercial terms are discussed with any operator.
  • The writer of a review has no visibility of, and no stake in, what a given brand pays.
  • Commission rates play no part in ordering, presentation or emphasis anywhere on this publication.
  • If an operator asks us to change editorial content as a condition of a commercial arrangement, we end the arrangement and say so on the review.

5. What we cover, and why it is a short list

We currently cover 2 brands. Both are White Label domains listed on the Gambling Commission public register under ProgressPlay Limited, account 39335, operating licence 039335-R-319313-020. We publish that relationship openly on every review because it is material: it means a self-exclusion applies across both brands at once.

A short list is deliberate. We would rather publish two brands we have genuinely tested than forty we have skimmed from a supplier feed.

6. Independence from operators and regulators

We are not owned by, controlled by or under common ownership with any gambling operator, supplier or affiliate network we write about. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the Gambling Commission, GAMSTOP, BeGambleAware or Gamblers Anonymous; we link to them because they are useful, and we receive nothing from them.

7. Trade marks

Operator, regulator and support-organisation names and logos appear here for identification and editorial reporting only. They remain the property of their owners, and their appearance implies no partnership, sponsorship or endorsement in either direction. Rights holders with a concern should write to hello@stonereview.co.uk and we will respond promptly.

8. Our standing conflict, stated openly

Being paid when a reader opens an account is a structural conflict of interest. Pretending otherwise would be dishonest. Our answer is disclosure at the point of every commercial link, a published method you can audit, drawbacks that stay in, and a correction route open to anyone. If you think we have failed that standard on any specific page, tell us and we will publish the correction.
