In short

Our verdict

RedAxePlay arrived in the UK market as a white-label brand under ProgressPlay Limited, which means the licence, the cashier, the verification workflow and the complaints route are all inherited from a licensee that has held a Remote Casino licence since November 2014. That inheritance is the single most useful fact about the brand, and we lead with it because it answers most of the questions a cautious newcomer actually has.

What the brand adds on top is presentation and pace. The interface is deliberately spare: a red-on-charcoal palette, a fixed cashier button, and a lobby that filters by studio, volatility band and minimum stake rather than by marketing category. We timed a cold load on a mid-range Android handset over 4G at just under two seconds to first interaction, which is respectable for a lobby of this size.

What works

  • Licence number, operator name and registered office printed in the page footer
  • Deposit, loss, session and reality-check limits grouped on one account screen
  • Debit card withdrawals cleared within 24 hours once verification was complete
  • Promotion terms are linked from each promotion tile rather than a separate page
  • GAMSTOP self-exclusion applies across the whole licence, not just this brand

What does not

  • Interface is functional rather than welcoming; very little onboarding help
  • No dedicated telephone line - support is live chat and email only
  • Loyalty scheme detail is thin compared with larger UK brands

Licensing and who actually holds the paperwork

The domain www.redaxeplay.com is listed on the Gambling Commission public register as a White Label domain under account 39335, held by ProgressPlay Limited of Limassol, Cyprus. The operating licence number is 039335-R-319313-020. Under that single licence the operator is authorised for Casino (Remote) since 1 November 2014, Bingo (Remote) since 23 August 2024, and General Betting Standard - Real Event (Remote) since 17 December 2018. All three activities showed as Active when we checked the register on 13 August 2026.

The practical consequence of a white-label arrangement is worth stating plainly, because it is often glossed over. The brand you see is a front end. The regulated entity behind it - the one that holds your funds, runs your identity checks, and answers to the Commission if something goes wrong - is ProgressPlay Limited. If you ever need to escalate a dispute, the licensee is the party named on the licence, and the Commission register entry linked above is the authoritative record of that relationship.

It also means a GAMSTOP self-exclusion registered against you applies across every brand under this licence at once. You cannot exclude from one and continue at a sibling brand, which is exactly how the scheme is supposed to work and a point in the operator's favour.

Deposits, withdrawals and the verification gate

Deposits are GBP only, by debit card or the usual e-wallets. Credit cards are not accepted anywhere in Great Britain - that has been prohibited since April 2020 and applies to every UK-licensed brand, so its absence here is compliance rather than a shortcoming.

Withdrawals are where a brand either earns trust or loses it. In our checks a debit card payout requested on a fully verified account cleared inside 24 hours; the pending window before that is short by UK white-label standards. The important caveat, and it is the one that generates most complaints across the whole sector, is that identity verification has to be finished before the first withdrawal is released. Upload photo identification and a recent proof of address on the day you register rather than the day you want your balance, and the queue mostly disappears.

We did not encounter a maximum withdrawal ceiling low enough to be a problem for ordinary balances, but the cashier terms are the authority on that and they can change. Read them at the point of withdrawal.

Bonus terms, read properly

Welcome offers here follow the standard UK white-label shape: a matched first deposit with wagering attached, plus a bundle of free spins on a named slot. Wagering requirements are displayed alongside the offer rather than hidden behind a separate terms link, which is a small courtesy that a surprising number of brands still fail.

Three clauses deserve your attention before you opt in. First, contribution rates differ by category - slots typically count in full while live tables count for a fraction or not at all, so wagering on tables can take far longer than the headline suggests. Second, there is a maximum stake per round while a bonus balance is active; exceed it and the bonus can be voided even if you were winning. Third, bonus funds expire, usually within days rather than weeks.

Our standing advice is unchanged: the strongest reason to decline a welcome offer is that it removes restrictions you would otherwise be carrying. A plain deposit with no bonus attached is withdrawable whenever you like.

Support, and what happened when we tested it

Support is live chat and email. There is no telephone line, which will disappoint anyone who wants a voice on the other end during a payment problem. Live chat answered within three minutes on two of three attempts across different times of day; the third took closer to eleven minutes late on a Saturday evening.

Answers to licensing and verification questions were accurate and specific rather than scripted. When we asked directly who holds the licence, the agent named ProgressPlay Limited without hedging - a small test we run on every brand, and one that a surprising number fail.

Safer gambling controls

Deposit limits, loss limits, session-length limits and reality-check reminders are grouped on a single account screen rather than scattered. Time-out periods run from 24 hours to six weeks, and permanent self-exclusion is available directly through the account as well as through GAMSTOP.

Increases to a deposit limit are subject to a cooling-off period before they take effect, while reductions apply immediately. That asymmetry is a regulatory requirement and it works in your favour - use it.

Before you register

Decide your deposit limit before you open an account, not after. Every UK-licensed operator must let you set one, reductions take effect immediately, and increases are held for a cooling-off period. If you are not sure gambling is under control, GAMSTOP self-exclusion is free and covers every licensed operator in Great Britain at once.

The bottom line

RedAxePlay, in one paragraph

RedAxePlay is a competent, fast, unsentimental brand with unusually clear licensing disclosure and quick debit card payouts. The absence of a telephone line and a thin loyalty scheme are the trade-offs. If you value a short route from balance to bank account over hand-holding, it is a reasonable choice - within limits you set before you start.
